Founded in 2011, EES Design Studio is owned and operated by Eric Small. Eric’s design approach fuses old-school metal fabrication with modern technologies to deliver unique, top-quality sculptures. Through this approach, EES Design Studio has attracted a team of professional craftsmen and built a reputation as a fabrication powerhouse.
Through consistent design and execution of large-scale projects, EES Design Studio has collaborated with a number of artists, galleries, and public art programs. These clients trust the EES team to bring their grandest ideas to life. Working closely with world-renowned artists, EES Design Studio has built some of the world’s most breathtaking metal art sculptures, from Alice Aycock’s monumental series of twisters to Jen Lewin’s fanciful, interactive installations.

James is the mastermind behind EES Design Studio's in-house CAD team. With a degree in Industrial Design, he can immortalize your napkin sketch into a 3D work of art. His extensive knowledge of the fabrication process is paramount in the proper modeling of each sculpture or fabrication project.

To fabricate a flawless sculpture, it takes more than your typical fabricator. With a background in music, art, and video production, Leonardo is truly an artist to his core. As our lead fabricator, his eye for design helps guide each decision during the fabrication process ensuring that the artists vision is followed at each phase.

Dane is EES Design Studio's secret weapon. His innate ability to learn any piece of machinery is remarkable and can probably be contributed to his extensive construction background. From CNC plasmas to routers, there is nothing he cannot figure out. With fearless ingenuity, he solves some of our most complicated fabrication questions with ease.
